A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to attend the Heather Ross and friends Weekend Sewing workshop in Palm Springs. I was not sure what to expect at first and to be honest, I was completely star struck by the amazing teachers. I mean, Heather Ross, Anna Maria Horner, Denyse Schmidt and Gretchen Hirsch, all in the same room…Crazy!
The Ace Hotel was the perfect backdrop for a mid winter crafty escape, the place just oozes cool and the January weather…divine!
As it turns out, the weekend was filled with a group of amazing women in an amazingly supportive environment with one common goal…to sew! And sew we did, cocktail in hand, late into the night.
I made some new friends that weekend, I think I also gained a little sewing confidence and I certainly learned some amazing new skills.
hmmm, wonder when I can go to another one?
What an amazing backdrop for a workshop!
Inspiration everywhere….
The amazing Gretchen Hirsch!! That girl knows how to sew a frock!
My thrifting adventures in Las Vegas provided me with some fab vintage fabrics for the workshop
The Ace Hotel is all that and more…..
with Alessandra Gutierrez, Anna Maria Horner and Heather Ross.
